7 Steps to a Delicious Treat

1. BREW
Brew 2 CafePod coffee pods & allow to cool to room temperature.

2. SIMMER
In a saucepan, heat whole milk until it just begins to simmer. Add the coffee to the hot milk & stir. Allow mixture to cool.

3. WHISK
In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks & sugar until the mixture becomes pale & slightly thickened. Pour cooled coffee/milk mixture into egg/sugar mixture, whisking constantly to avoid curdling. Pour combined mixture back into the saucepan & cook at low heat, stirring continuously until mixture thickens.

4. REFRIGERATE
Strain the custard through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove any cooked egg bits. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

5. WHIP THE CREAM
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the coffee custard mixture until well combined. Add the vanilla extract & mix.

6. CHURN & FREEZE
Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker & churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer the churned ice cream to the freezer for a few hours or until firm.

Scoop, add toppings of your choice & enjoy!
